Your signature can be said to be your representative when you are not present. Like on a written contract, when you don't feel like being present in person every time someone wants confirmation of your aporoval of a given arrangement. It’s also used as a way to claim something of your own creation that is more or less uniquely yours, like a chef’s signature dish. But do artists really need to sign their art?
